Marion is a writer and blogger who writes about what she knows best: family life, food and travel. She is currently studying at the University of Missouri in the Department of Journalism and Communication.

Marion Holmes defore is writing a book called The Life and Times of a French-Canadian Dad. The book explores the lives of three generations of French Canadian fathers (fathers whose heritage lies in the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick, but who currently live in Montreal). The book will focus primarily on the lives of the French Canadian patriarchs, including their daily lives, their memories and their hopes for the future. She herself is one of the patriarchs.
She’s not a historian by any means, but she has some interesting insights into the lives of French Canadians. She was a lawyer in Montreal, but in later life, she became a nurse and then a social worker. She has a great relationship with her father, and talks about his last visit to the city, where he was trying to get more funding to help her family.
Marion is known as an expert on her father’s legacy, which is why she was so eager to talk to us about his last visit. Because of her connection to her father, she has gained a lot of knowledge and insight into his life, including his last visit to Montreal.
